At 2am in the morning I took Gabby to deposit a check in the ATM (I'm a night owl-9 years working midnights). I usually let Gabby investigate the bushes by the entrance. While attempting to deposit the check, I heard Gabby bark, then I heard him let out a loud yelp. I ran to Gabby and I saw two men and a teenager. I asked them what they had done to my dog (actually, I didn't use those exact words). The teenager smirked and denied doing anything. The men said nothing. I brought Gabby into the bank with me and finished my business. Then I got in my car and drove several blocks until I found the men. I got out of my car and asked them again what had they done to my dog. One of the men said they had not done anything to the dog. He sounded sincere. I apologized and left.
I really don't know what happened. I suspect the teenager kicked Gabby. The whole matter was my fault for not having Gabby with me where I could see him. Gabby is okay but he acted scared as if something happened to him. I learned it's best to keep Gabby by me at all times.
